Wool Grease
Lanolin is a by-product of wool which has a valuable use within the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry in skin care products. Lanolin is a wax secreted by sheep to protect their wool and skin from rain and other climate conditions and the environment.
During the scouring process, wool is washed with water and detergents at high temperatures.
This process washes out the lanolin from the wool.
The lanolin is then filtered out of the water to be marketed.

We have our own bonded warehouse with customs authorization for national and foreign commodities. We also offer logistics and sampling services.
Laboratory Analysis
Pettinatura di Verrone has an IWTO certified internal laboratory. We test greasy, semi-finished products, de-haired fibres and tops.
Blending, re-combing, re-packaging
We provide blending, re-combing and re-packaging services for wool, wool blends, cashmere, cashmere blends and special fibres (camel, silk…).
Technical consultancy
Pettinatura di Verrone has a great and long lasting experience on wool and specialty fibres, as well as their production processes.
The know-how was acquired both internally and in our subsidiaries companies in China, Egypt, Argentina, Iran and Mongolia.
Today we offer technical consultancy on plant building, machinery setup, as well as on textile fibres in general.
