History and Milestones

In 1989, Pettinatura Di Verrone was acquired by the G.Schneider Group, a wool trading company, which decided to invest in the industrial activity to ensure higher standards of quality and service to its clients.

In the early Nineties, the Company broadened its product range to cashmere and speciality fibres such as vicuña, guanaco, alpaca and mohair, and then to open tops for woollen spinning.

In 2012, three undisputed leaders of ‘Made in Italy’, Loro Piana, Marzotto and Ermenegildo Zegna purchased each a share of the Pettinatura Di Verrone; they decided to invest in the Company with the intention of preserving and maintaining its know-how and skilled workforce in the textile district of Biella.

Pettinatura Di Verrone celebrated its 60th anniversary. We are the leader in textile top-quality first-stage manufacturing. Our mission is to continue to pursue excellence by producing only the very best quality.

In late 2025, we joined the Modiano Group. Together, we form a stronger, more diverse, and highly reliable partner for the EMEA wool trading and processing industry.
